SFA (Social Finance Association) was created with the goal of completing the financial pillar of AFIN with specialized assistance and know-how in the field of social financing. The association aims at supporting local entrepreneurs to overcome financial difficulties through financial education and consultancy for ease of access to financing.
The association will develop its activities in the field of social economy, respecting the principles stipulated through the Law number 219/2015 on social economy.
SFA is an associate member of FEBEA – the European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks, which brings together 30 financial institutions from 15 European countries.
The federation has as mission statement to support the growth and to promote principles of ethical and social financing in Europe.
FEBEA supports the financers, the social entrepreneurs and any group or citizen developing projects which support the creation of a fair and inclusive society.
During October 18 – 22 2021 SFA, in partnership with Synerb and with the support of the ”Alaturi de Voi” Romania Foundation and the Solidarity Laboratory , developed the Programme of Financial Education for Romanian Social Entrepreneurs, presented by Unicredit Bank.
