The Programme of Financial Education for Romanian Social Entrepreneurs, developed by SFA (Social Finance Association) and UniCredit has ended

Entrepreneurs and NGO leaders attended the programme in financial education presented by UniCredit Bank and developed by the Social Finance Association in partnership with Synerb, with the support of the „Alaturi de Voi” Romania Foundation (ADV) and the Solidarity laboratory.

The Programme of Financial Education for Romanian Social Entrepreneurs aims at offering social entrepreneurs and NGO representative important information about the social economy sector and at answering essential questions about the status of the field.

The programme took place in two stages. The first part of the project included a series of three webinars, designed as webinars under the title „Social Entrepreneurship Talks Romania”::

  • Where from and how can Romanian social enterprises obtain a loan?, October 13th 2021
  • How to plan the success of a social enterprise?, November 2nd, 2021
  • How to attract investors in your social business?, November 12th 2021

The second part of the project, developed during October 18 – 22 2021 included an educational module within the Week of Financial Education for Social Entrepreneurs. 

During this stage, the participants worked of topics useful for any social entrepreneur curious of numbers and the important financial aspects of a business:

  • Presentation of basic financial notions and of a financial toolbox – Monday, October 18th;
  • The financial situations and the main financial indicators entrepreneurs should follow – Wednesday, October 2th 2021;
  • Financial projections for social enterprises and NGOs – Thursday, October 21st 2021.

The module was presented by Sonia Oprean, Co-founder & Managing Partner of Synerb and ACCA member.

“The programme explored several topics of interest in the field of social economy and offered a very diversified perspective on the existing opportunities. The sector is constantly transforming and we are very happy to be able to contribute with such programmes to its growth and to the growth of social businesses”,the organizers said.
