In response to the challenges caused by Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the ANEW-LIFE project aims to strengthen the involvement of both the public and private sectors in financing urban energy interventions. The goal is to develop and pilot innovative financial mechanisms that support Ukraine’s transition to a resilient and decarbonized energy system, while also contributing to long-term reconstruction and stabilization.

AFIN IFN contributes to the implementation of the ANEW-LIFE project through its expertise in developing and applying innovative financial mechanisms dedicated to the energy transition. Under the coordination of EnerSave Capital from Luxembourg, AFIN will support Ukrainian cities in identifying and combining financing solutions such as green bonds, public-private partnerships, or crowdfunding, tailored to the local context. In addition, we will provide specialized consultancy for the development of sustainable financing models and contribute to the creation of good practice guides and recommendations for replicating these solutions in other cities across Ukraine and the European Union.
