Iulian Stanciu, Executive Chairman of eMAG, has been leading the company since 2009, when he became the majority shareholder of the online retailer.

Three years later, Iulian entered into a partnership with the investment fund Naspers, which helped position eMAG as the most relevant e-commerce platform in Southeastern Europe. In 2022, eMAG became the most valuable Romanian brand and the first e-commerce company to rank first in the Brand Finance ranking. 

In recent years, Iulian has played a significant role in the "Nouă ne pasă" Foundation, which supports education—an essential pillar for Romania’s development—as well as in initiatives promoting entrepreneurship, sustainability, and digitalization.
