With over 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Ancuta is an active promoter of social economy in Romania conducting research and capacity building programmes for social organisations, social enterprises, cooperatives and credit unions.

Ancuta has been founder and Director of the Civil Society Development Foundation in Romania and its Institute of Social Economy.

Currently she runs the social economy think tank Laboratorul de Solidaritate, the affiliate for Romania of International Centre of Research and Information on Social and Cooperative Economy CIRIEC International, and is President of Ateliere fara frontiere chairing on its behalf RISE Romanian Network of Work Integration Social Enterprises.

Ancuta also worked for the European Commission Delegation in Romania and as EU High Level adviser to the Government of Moldova on relations with civil society and social economy sector.
