Angela Achiței – recognized for her contribution to the development of the social economy at the "Women Who Change Romania" gala
Angela Achiței, President of ADV Romania, was recently honored at the "Women Who Change Romania" gala, organized by Finmedia and Piața Financiară—an event that highlights women making a real impact in society. The award acknowledges Angela's consistent efforts and significant contribution to promoting and strengthening the social economy in Romania.
For over two decades, Angela Achiței has been a leading figure in the social economy sector, actively involved in developing sustainable business models that prioritize people, the environment, and the community. Through initiatives such as UtilDeco, Wise.travel, and OPYA, she has proven that social entrepreneurship is a viable solution for inclusion, sustainability, and long-term positive impact.
The award also serves as an opportunity to bring the social economy closer to the general public, showcasing it as a concrete and valuable alternative in today’s economic landscape.

Finmedia and the magazine Piața Financiară honored and awarded successful women by organizing, onMarch 25, 2025, a new edition of the “WOMEN WHO CHANGE ROMANIA” Gala, bringing to the forefront those female role models who, through talent, perseverance, courage, and determination, have managed to achieve, inspire, and shape destinies. Regardless of challenges and risks, the Gala's awardees are true role models for anyone—women or men—who aspire to reach high professional and managerial levels. Through hard work and perseverance, they have found genuine recipes for success in leading and growing profitable businesses or engaging in community life.
The awards presented at this Gala also serve as an additional argument in support of gender diversity—something every company needs in top management. This Gala, along with interviews with the awardees, will be featured in a special edition of Piața Financiară magazine, to be published in April 2025.

It is a wonderful spring day, and we are delighted to gather once again in March—the month dedicated to women—at our traditional gala where we honor exceptional women, the women who truly change Romania.
I am happy—and, of course, emotional—to be surrounded by so many beautiful, wonderful ladies, whom I thank for accepting the invitation to be present at this event, which also marks, for us, the 30th anniversary of the first issue of Piața Financiară magazine."
